Warehouse Management
- Coordinate all in-house operations and logistics activities including warehousing, transportation, warehouse quality management, space planning, and cargo process
- Review business process and initiate by giving suggestions to drive for continuous warehouse improvement and warehouse efficiency
- Monitor warehouse operations performance to ensure the smooth warehouse and cargo operation running with Century operations standard procedure including cargo loading and unloading process and data submission
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations according to Century VMS booking and delivery note process including goods and cargo receiving, pick and pack, stock checking, inbound/outbound delivery, and reporting
- Monitor the entire consolidation process from empty container pick up through full container return to the terminal while aligning with Century standard guideline
- Maintain safety, security, and a comfortable warehouse environment for all visitors via regular housekeeping and inspection. e.g. all cargo/cartons/equipment is properly stored safely in good condition, all warehouse facilities and equipment are in good condition
- Optimize the warehouse space utilization and ensure all warehouse procedures comply with the company’s and customer’s needs
- Manage and maintain good relationships with various logistics service providers, vendors, customers, warehouse operators, contractors, sub-contractors, business partners, and colleagues
- Closely coordinate and liaise with warehouse operators and Century to ensure accuracy and timely information flow about cargo process, container data, and warehouse operations
- Negotiate with different parties for various cargo issues on behalf of Century
- Assist vendors to solve different problems and issues about cargo delivery delayed schedule and cargo damages
- Routinely monitor warehouse for C-TPAT compliance according to Century provided guidelines applicable to the warehouse manager function
- Coordinate with the accounting department to ensure the proper issuance of chargebacks to warehouse and vendors for any violations or losses which they are responsible for
- Coordinate and assist the QC department to ensure they have the necessary support for their smooth and continuous operations
Data management
- Managing and training subordinates to ensure the inputted data are correct and integrality
- Ensure the inputted data meet company’s standard (e.g. SA/PSA be sent out in time and corrective)
- Ensure in time to submit related data and information to the consignees and colleagues of the US
- Ensure all customers know well and very clear about the cause of defeat and any data revision
- Assist the MIS department to implement the new system running if necessary
- Ensure all shipment data and information are accurately entered in VMS on a timely basis e.g. CLP, container number, seal number, and daily in/out reports
Supplying a high-level customer service
- Act as a model in the working environment, to ensure supplying a good service to external or internal customers(e.g. accounting department)
- Answering customers’ and US colleagues’ questions accurately
- Supplying more valuable service to customers
- Ensure customers are satisfied with our service
- Act as a bridge amid offshore and its agents
- Ensure all subordinates ask any incoming phone with polite and effective
- Other duties assigned by the department supervisor and manager
